Mathare Shock Poll: Odalo Races Ahead as Oluoch Trails
Mabatini Member of County Assembly (MCA) Wilfred Odalo has emerged as the frontrunner in the Mathare parliamentary race, according to a new poll by Intouch Polls Kenya.
Odalo leads the field with 39 per cent, putting him 27 percentage points ahead of his closest rivals, Mohammed Ali and incumbent Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch, who are tied at 12 per cent.
The poll places Odalo in a strong position as he seeks to transition from county politics to the National Assembly in the 2027 General Election.
Reacting to the findings, Odalo said the numbers reflect his growing popularity and his record of engaging with residents and supporting community initiatives.
“I have just been informed that Intouch firm released a poll placing me ahead of other aspirants. I can confirm to you that I am on the ground asking for votes and supporting lives out there, so it is actually accurate,” Odalo said.
“Our stand is that we shall continue helping our people better their lives,” he added.
