Maurice Rallies Kamba Community in Mountain View, Highlights Nine-Year Record
Mountain View Ward MCA Maurice Ochieng Onyango has urged members of the Kamba community to unite and support his leadership, saying a consolidated vote would help secure more development for the community.
Speaking during a meeting with Kamba residents in Mountain View, Maurice cited his nine-year record in office, saying his administration had consistently engaged and supported the community without discrimination.
“In the last nine years, my office has always minded this community by ensuring that they are treated equally and fairly like other communities in Mountain View. My office does not consider them a minority, but a community with a purpose,” Maurice said.
He urged the Akamba to avoid splitting their votes, arguing that political unity would strengthen their ability to advocate for development and other community interests.
Maurice also called on Mountain View residents to support President William Ruto and the Broad-Based Government, saying the administration had made significant efforts to improve the lives of Kenyans.
“We have to support President Ruto because of what he means to Kenyans. Tribal politics and development are not the way to go. This is the capital city, and we must defend it jealously, but with the correct leadership,” he said.
During the meeting, Maurice distributed sugar and flour and provided financial assistance to some of the community members present.
The MCA said his engagement with the Kamba community was part of his broader efforts to strengthen relations with residents and promote what he described as inclusive development in Mountain View.
